I'm Charles Babcock — the founder of Syntax in Stone LLC and a practicing SUDP counselor. I build websites and desktop tools, with many more projects in active development.
Working in behavioral health gave me a direct view into how inefficient documentation slows clinicians down and takes time away from clients. That experience drives a lot of what I build — tools designed to create real efficiency in the workplace, not just check a box.
I started this company because I believe great software shouldn't be out of reach for anyone with a good idea. Whether you're a business owner, a startup, or just someone with a concept you want brought to life — I want to build it with you.

Jeff Co DUI Victim Impact Panel
A registration website for the Jefferson County DUI Victim Impact Panel — a Washington State-approved program for individuals required to complete a VIP as part of a DUI sentence. Attendees can register for monthly in-person sessions in Port Townsend or join remotely via Zoom. The site provides program details, session schedules, and a straightforward signup flow to meet court requirements.
WA BHA Treatment Finder
A searchable web directory of Washington State behavioral health treatment facilities, built for healthcare professionals and case managers. Locate inpatient and outpatient facilities across all 39 Washington counties by filtering on service type (mental health, SUD, co-occurring), patient population (adult/youth), and care setting (inpatient, outpatient, detox). Facility cards display bed availability, contact info, and service indicators. Data sourced from the WA DOH Greenbook and updated monthly via a secure admin upload portal.
LEADnotes
A secure, cloud-based case management platform built for LEAD programs and community outreach organizations. Log encounters, referrals, and services in the field or at the office. Track clients across your whole team with role-based access control. Export encounter data for OWG, WASPC, and custom reports in Excel, CSV, Word, or PDF. Full audit log, multi-factor authentication, encrypted connections, and 42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality standards. Per-seat pricing, no long-term contracts — setup in days, not months.
File Archiver
A smart, automated file organization tool for Windows. Monitors folders in the background and sorts files using customizable rules based on file type, name, age, or content. Features duplicate detection, document keyword analysis, time-based cleanup, system tray integration, and a full audit trail — with safe operations that never permanently delete anything.
Assessment & Case Management Tools
Built by a practicing SUDP counselor with firsthand experience in SUD and mental health documentation, this suite replaces cumbersome paper forms with a secure, efficient digital workflow — helping clinicians spend more time with clients and less time on paperwork. Every tool reflects real-world clinical knowledge and a deep understanding of what documentation actually demands in practice.
